6 Tips To Help Save This Year!
1. Shop over longer period of time
There's no need to get every thing done in one day. Some deals may come up closer to school and you'll end up missing out if you aren't patient with your spending.
2. Shop at Discount and Outlet Stores
This one almost sounds too simple, but it's often overlooked. Don't be afraid to checkout outlet stores or buy some things in bulk.
3. Make a List, Check it Twice!
This is Christmas in July, after all. Make a list of the essentials and then go back over your list and add the things that you would like but aren't necessary in a separate column.
4. Couponing
There's no shame in using coupons! In fact, it's somewhat of a skill. Couponing can provide immediate gratification, sometimes hundreds of dollars worth.
5. Stick To The List!
Must. Stay. On. Task. Seriously though, once you make that list try not to be deterred. If you think you really like something you see write it down and wait awhile. This goes back to the whole shopping over time tip. Chances are the deals will get better and you'll be able to get more than you would have beforehand.
6. Shop Online
Ever the time saver, shopping online lets you cover a lot of ground very quickly compared to driving around town for art supplies, clothing and whatever else is on "the list". Even if you don't plan to make a purchase online this is a great way to compare the prices and sales going on at stores in your area.
